SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY

TCP Marriage & Family Services SEA Program: Provides guidance to parents and legal guardians as they navigate through the special education system. Our goal is to make sure every child will benefit from public education to the extent that students without disabilities do. Your child's social, emotional, and educational needs are our priority. We believe a child’s success in school is based on a collaborative effort between parents and educators.

What We Do:

  • We review and interpret assessment results.
  • We help develop Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) based on your child’s needs and educational evaluations.
  • We communicate with your child’s teachers and supporting staff.
  • We interpret Procedural Safeguards and Procedures, Federal and State mandates as established in Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA) 2004 and Texas Special Education Rules and Regulations.

Fees for TCPMFS Special Education Advocacy Services are $50.00 per hour. An intake appointment is required for all students before beginning TCPMFS Special Advocacy Services. TCPMFS reserves the right to withdraw services when it is determined progress cannot be made on behalf of the child.
